Prof Bijendra Patel awarded Honorary Fellowship of the Association of Surgeons of India

Congratulations to Professor Bijendra Patel of Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, who has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to surgery and surgical education. The President Professor Arvind Kumar and the members of the Executive Committee of the Association of Surgeons of India admitted Professor Patel to the Fellowship on 18th December 2019 at the FAIS convocation function of the 79th Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India in Bhubaneswar, India.

Honorary Fellowships of the Association are given to individuals internationally recognized in their fields who have trained Indian Surgeons or visited India for academic purposes. Recipients of the Fellowship also deliver a lecture during the conference and Professor Patel delivered a keynote lecture on “Thinking in 3D” - Value Of Pre-thinking In Surgical Decision Making When Trouble Lies head – “Life at Risk”.
