Research Focus
I am interested in understanding whether epigenetics can play a driving role in the transition from normal to transformed cells in the breast. Currently, I am using primary cells from normal donors and a novel form of CRISPR to target DNA methylation to gene promoters that are often silenced in breast cancer. This work may provide insight into new targets for early diagnosis of breast cancer.
