We are accepting late applications, if places are still available. Please do apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Things to do before you arrive

Plan your finances for the year ahead. Are you self-funded, sponsored or taking out a Student Finance loan? Whichever it is, make sure your payment is arranged as an invoice will be sent after you enrol. You can find out all you need to know about paying your tuition fees on our dedicated page

Accommodation, whether you want to meet new people in halls or flat share with friends support and information.

Healthcare, if you’re moving to London for the first time make sure you’re registered with a GP, if you’re an international student be sure to take out a healthcare plan.

QMPlus is our virtual learning environment and you can familiarise yourself with it before starting your programme.

From 22 August

Enrolment

Online Enrolment – Pre-enrolment begins from 22 August. It doesn’t take long to do. Full information on how to complete Online Enrolment will be sent to the email address provided to us during the admissions process.

Enrolment is really important in order for you to receive your I.T log in details and access to information like Programme Guides and information about elective modules and module selection, so please follow the instructions sent to you by registry.

Once you have enrolled you will recieve a link to a password protected page on our website where you will be able to access more information about your programme including teaching timetable.

What next?
  1. Once you have completed enrolment you will recieve a link to a form to register for our induction which takes place on 22 September 2022.
  2. When you have completed the form to register for induction you will recieve a link to a password protected page containing all the information you need to get you started.

MSc Cancer Courses: 10:00-17:00 (social from 17:00-19:00)

MRes Laparascopic Surgery and Surgical Skills, MRes Translational Biomedical Sciences and MSc Genomics and Data Science: 11:00-17:00 (social from 17:00-19:00)

Onsite Location: Charterhouse Square Campus  

Induction will take place onsite, students registered on our on campus programmes will be expected to attend in person. We understand that there may be issues with obtaining visa’s and documentation which may prevent you from arriving on time, if this is the case please let us know at bci-cancercourses@qmul.ac.uk

Activities will be streamed online for students enrolled on our Distance Learning programmes.

We have a fully packed schedule to introduce you to the academic and support staff, give you an overview of what to expect and the opportunity to meet past students.

The Teaching Centre Office Team are here to answer queries about your programme such as Timetabling, Module Selection, Induction and anything else. We can also signpost you to relevant teams across the university when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still apply?

We will accept late applications if there is any capacity but to avoid disappointment apply by the deadline.

I have applied but still don’t have an offer, what do I do now?

We are processing your application as quickly as we can, if you are concerned then please contact Admissions to follow up if you haven’t heard back after 2 weeks.

I have received an offer, what do I do now?

Conditional offer holders:

Accept your offer when you receive it, so we know you want a place on the programme.

As soon as you have met your conditions, please upload your supporting documents onto the Applicant Portal, so your offer can be amended to Unconditional.

If you have any concerns about meeting your conditions please let us know.

Unconditional offer holders:

Once you accept your offer, you will be invited to enrol and receive information regarding the start of term at the beginning of September.

I have accepted my offer, what next?

Unconditional offer holders who have firmly accepted their offer and have paid a deposit (if applicable) will receive an email from Registry inviting you to enrol, follow the instructions to enrol online.

At the end of August you will be sent an email from the BCI Teaching Centre with a password to access the New Student Programme Information area. Here you will find new student information such as induction schedule, timetables and programme information.

I am on an onsite programme; do I have to come onto campus?

We encourage all onsite students to travel to the UK for Queen Mary’s Welcome Week (date TBC) or by the first week of the academic calendar (27th September 2021). 

However, if you are unable to join us in September for the start of your programme then our students will be able to study online until such time that you are able to travel to campus.

All CAS which are issued to new international students will have 07 October 2022 as the very latest arrival date for entry to the UK.  However, we encourage students to travel at the earliest opportunity available to them to ensure they make the most of the on-campus Queen Mary University of London experience.
